GEOCACHING is pretty much like any other activity: there's a point where you do it, a point where you grow in it, and probably never a point where you totally master it. The resources provided here are designed to help you cache better—either to teaching you something new or to equipping you with something new.

Articles

Caching Through the Snow
Caching season isn't over just because winter is here. This article offers some advice on preparing yourself for caching in colder weather.

On Caches and Containers
An article on the merits of investing in a good container and some questions you ought to ask yourself before you hide that cache.

This n' That
This is a collection of Resources that I've picked up here and there. Some of it is stuff I figured out on my own, other stuff I've gleaned from other people's websites and advice.

Downloads

Brochure
A free downloadable tri-fold brochure that you can use to tell others about Geocaching. Leave them in public places or give them out to land managers and potential cachers. It's a great way to educate others about caching. This brochure is in Adobe PDF format.

Folding Card
For when the brochure might be too much info. This card folds over to the size of a business card and contains enough information to let people know what Geocaching is about, what you are up to and how they can get involved. The back side has information on CITO. Free download in Adobe PDF format.

How To's

Minding Your PQ's
An article explaining a quick and easy way to set up Pocket Queries to enable you to get a jump on First to Finds.

Paperless Geocaching
This page explains, step-by-step, how I use my Palm to store webpages instead of printing them out. I've had a lot of positive response to this page. Hope it helps you too!

Working with .loc Files
These are still one of the most common file types you'll get from geocaching.com. How do you change them over from the generic waypoint icon to the cool Geocaching icon that Garmin GPS's have? This page explains how.

Working with Street Atlas USA 2004 Handheld
Geocaching in the big city offers a whole new set of challenges that those in more rural locations don't have to deal with. Urban cacher, Dboggny offers this review and how-to for DeLorme's latest mapping software for the Palm OS and Pocket PC. Danny shows us how they get from here to there in the big city and manage to find a cache or two on the way.
